POETS THEATRE EXTRAVAGANZA!!

A multi-media event showcasing curiosities and phenomena including the human voice, the human body, moving pictures, headgear (such as masks, blindfolds and helmets), ancestral electricity & weather research satellite data.

Featuring performances of works by Marisa Jahn (Cambridge, MA), Chris Nagler, Jen Smith & Amanda Eicher (San Francisco), Morgan C. Burns
(Philadelphia), Emily Abendroth (Philadelphia) and more.

Poets Theater gathers artists of all genres to explore their interests in performance and performativity.  The tradition of Poets Theater stretches from Cambridge, MA in the late 1940s (Frank O'Hara, Edward Gorey) through the San Francisco Renaissance of the 50s & 60s (Helen Adam, Robert Duncan, Michael McClure, Jack Spicer), and continues today (Carla Harryman, Kevin Killian, Elizabeth Robinson, Leslie Scalapino, etc).
