JONATHAN SKINNER (poet & translator; Buffalo)
KAREN HANNAH (poet; Philadelphia)
BETH NIXON (writer & puppeteer; Philadelphia)

JONATHAN SKINNER is a poet, ecocritic and translator, as well as editor of the journal ecopoetics (http://www.ecopoetics.org). Skinner received his Ph.D. in English from SUNY Buffalo, with a dissertation on ecology and twentieth-century innovative poetry and poetics. His first full-length poetry collection, Political Cactus Poems, recently appeared with Palm Press (http://www.palmpress.org). He is currently a Fellow with the Center for the Humanities at Temple University.

KAREN HANNAH is formerly from the San Francisco Bay Area but moved to Philadelphia to pursue her M.A. in creative writing. Her work is currently swimming around simultaneity – how the slightest of moves engenders a new sense of self while reflecting on a former one, or the motion of still objects. Some of her pieces can be found in Fulcrum Annual, Small Brushes, Thought and in vol.1 of the online journal zbzz at http://www.zbzz.com/karen_hannah.php. She’s currently laboring on spitting forth a new online lit mag called zumbar devoted to publishing ongoing poetry projects as they spin forth and thread new ideas.

BETH NIXON is a puppeteer/mammal/phenomenon with 28 teeth, a rubber toe, and a soft spot for paper mache. She is a Rhode Islander, living in Philly, and has been engaged in cardboard constructionism, beast building, and spectacle creation for the better part of the last 8 years. Beth performs in living rooms, libraries, festivals, and street corners in our own strange nation and abroad. Her newest Purple Suitcase Theater presentation stars NoHoldsBarbara, a clear dog, the Disaster Factory, eyeballs, and a select few inhabitants of the Meanwhile Closet. She is the Founder and Janitor of Ramshackle Enterprises (www.ramshackleenterprises.net).
